Have you tried them yet?

Sign in to your gmail account (you DO have one, right?) and then click more (link at the top) and select documents.

There you'll find a word processor, spreadsheet and presentation programs! All for free. And fairly powerful too! Think about what you REALLY use in Word and that's about what Google offers. And the nice thing is once you have documents created, you can access the programs and documents both from any web browser on any part of the internet. Not bad and a great price.
